Modern Open Office Style

For this project, the client wanted to transform an existing raw office space into an open work area with supporting offices, conference and administrative rooms that promote collaboration while maintaining a sense of privacy and professionalism. Working with the owner’s interior design group, the design focused on creating an inviting workspace for clients and staff alike.

The design featured frameless glass partitions utilized in both perimeter and interior offices, creating an open feel and allowing for natural light to permeate the rooms. Sound absorbing gypsum board and insulation were used to minimize sound transmission for a peaceful office environment while helping to maintain quiet in private work areas. Suspended gypsum board “cloud” ceilings located in the open work area and a suspended metal baffle ceiling in the conference room added an aesthetic appeal and helped to conceal exposed utilities with the overall combination of natural light, glass partitions and ceiling elements creating a sleek, streamlined look.

The result was a balance of a visually appealing work environment, and practical workspace fostering collaboration while maintaining an air of professionalism.
